How to choose a miniature geared motor?

Update:29-04-2022
Summary:...
At present, the miniature planetary gear motor on the market are mainly AC motors. In the future, considering the safety and convenience of power switches and other equipment, the proportion of DC motors will increase. At present, some manufacturers can only use single-stage speed ratios. To 180 ratio, and later with the improvement of science and technology, it is very likely to achieve a larger ratio.
There are many uses of miniature gear motors, such as: electric window openers, monitoring lens rotation above the road, lens shutter opening and closing of digital cameras, car wiper drivers
1. When selecting a planetary reducer, first determine the reduction ratio.
2. After determining the reduction ratio, multiply the rated torque of the servo motor you choose by the reduction ratio. In principle, the value obtained is smaller than the rated output torque of the similar reducer provided in the product catalog. Overload capacity and the maximum working torque required in practice. The required maximum working torque is less than twice the rated output torque. After meeting the above conditions, please choose a reducer with the smallest volume, and the cost of a small reducer is relatively low.
General operating torque, and 50% of the maximum torque of step deceleration, gear clearance needs to be considered. The power-off locking torque of the reducer needs to be considered (stepper motor reducers are generally used for power-off locking shafts) The size of the reduction ratio determines the maximum speed and maximum output torque of the stepper motor.
3. Next, consider the return clearance of the planetary reducer. The smaller the return clearance, the higher the accuracy and the higher the cost. Users can choose a series of reducers that meet their precision requirements. Also consider lateral/radial forces and average life. The reducer with large lateral/radial force has high reliability in installation and use, and is not prone to problems. Usually its average lifespan far exceeds the lifespan of the equipped servo motor. After meeting the above indicators, you can choose the reducer that matches your motor in terms of installation size, shaft diameter and input flange according to the product catalog provided by our company.
4. Finally, you also need to consider the weight of the equipped motor. A type of reducer is only allowed to be matched with a motor less than a certain weight. The motor is too heavy, and long-term operation will damage the input flange of the reducer.
